Teen Center Frequently Asked Questions

Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God.

2 Corinthians 9:10 –12

When will I be asked to make my commitment?

Commitment Sunday is November 4, 2007. Our entire church family will gather for an inspiring time of praise and worship for our Altar of Commitment. During Altar of Commitment, each person, family, and youth will bring their commitment card and First Fruits offering to the altar as we offer sacrificially to the Lord.

What is a First Fruits offering?

A First Fruits offering is the first offering made towards a person’s 36-months financial commitment. The first fruits offering should be a demonstration of faith, support, and sacrifice towards the financial campaign. First Fruits offerings will allow us to move forward in completing our Kingdom Teen Center.

As a business owner can my business make a financial commitment?

Yes! When completing a commitment card, include your business’ name and address as well as your personal information. All commitments are tax-deductible.

As a first-time visitor, can I make a one-time contribution towards the financial campaign without making a 36-months financial commitment?

Yes, we welcome your contribution! You can use our offering envelope or make a contribution through our website.

Can commitments be changed if necessary?

Yes! You may increase or decrease your faith commitment at any time as the Lord leads. Just fill out a new commitment card and place in the offering basket.

How much will each family be expected to give?

The only expectation is that each family pray and ask God what He would have the family give. While the amounts will obviously be different for everyone, our hope is that each person will take personal ownership in the project and be led to give generously, even sacrificially. A key phrase in our campaign is: Not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice.

How can I help in the effort?

Please continue to give thanks for all the exciting things that are taking place in the ministries of our church, while at the same time prayerfully asking God what He wants to do through you in making a sacrificial gift to the campaign.

How can I make my commitments?

You can make your commitments weekly, biweekly, monthly, or through one lump sum. Commitments can be made using our offering envelope or through our website www.newbirthgreenville.org under “Contribution”.

Is the campaign just about raising money?

No. Although we will be giving sacrificailly over a three-year period, it is more about building a relationship with God
through His Son Jesus Christ and opening doors for us to experience the blessings of putting God first.
